Rawr.

BEFORE YOU START:

The computer I "built" is not a custom computer, but a Dell Dimension 5150.

Things to take into consideration:

1. Case fans are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, but are not necessary...Well they are, if you don't want your CPU to be about 90C.
2. Case Screws, Part Screws, etc. should all be included in the parts you buy so you don't need to spend any money on them.
3. You WILL need Thermal Paste if you're using a separate Third Party CPU Cooler/Heatsink, but if you're using the stock Heatsink, it's already on there.
4. Supply your own cords. If you're using a CD/DVD Drive and a Hard Drive Disk, you only need two SATA Cables.
5. Picture sucks; Camera phone.

GUIDE WITHOUT PICTURES:

Parts you need:

Motherboard (Mobo)
RAM Modules/Sticks (RAM)
Hard Drive Disk (HDD)
Central Processing Unit (CPU)
Power Supply Unit (PSU)
CD/DVD Drive/Burner
Graphic Processing Unit (GPU)
Computer Case
Cables/Cords (SATA, IDE/PATA for older models)

1. Lay the case on the ground, with the main side door detached, and touch the unpainted part of the case, to ground yourself.
2. Attach any unattached accessories, ex. USB Slots, Memory Card Reader, etc.
3. Insert the motherboard, making the backplate matching with the slot the Computer Case gives it.
4. Screw in the necessary screws, keeping the motherboard in place.
5. Open the Processor Box, and match the Triangle/circle with the Processor mount located on the Motherboard.
6. Place the triangle to nothing side in one end at a small angle, and gently drop it in. The processor should be in nearly firm, and does not require any pressure to be placed in.
7. Apply Thermal Paste. If using the stock heatsink/cooler, skip to 8.
8. Latch on the processor mount, and attach the heatsink/cooler above it, screwing it in firmly.
9. Attach the PSU in the designated location, and screw it in.
10. Attach the CD/DVD Drive/Burner, and connect the power.
11.

All Processors have a Triangle and a circle in the corner, it's to indicate how to place it in properly.
